Hall re-opening plan
Hello Friends! We are so pleased to announce that we have a COVID-safe plan to reopen the Mount!
Now that lockdown restrictions are easing, we plan to reopen in stages, starting from Stage 4 of the government’s roadmap. This means that we will take bookings for the Field of Dreams (our outside space) for private events, groups and classes with a maximum of thirty people from the 21st June 2021.
We will also make our toilet facilities available for use during bookings, but the rest of the hall, including kitchen facilities, will remain closed.
Please note that the field is a community space and we cannot guarantee that there will be nobody else present. However, there will be notices asking that people avoid using the space if it has been booked.
Hire of the Field of Dreams and toilets will be charged at £5 per hour. Any professional activities will need to provide a full risk assessment covering COVID-19.
In the event that Stage 4 of the government roadmap is delayed in our area or gatherings are restricted, bookings will be cancelled and refunded in full.
The Mount, including the hall and kitchen facilities, will reopen no earlier than 1st September 2021. This is obviously subject to the government roadmap regarding community spaces and COVID-secure guidance, and is at the discretion of the Mount Trustees.
We can’t wait to welcome you back and share our wonderful community space with you all again!
As before, our Field of Dreams is open and you are welcome to play or have picnics there. Please avoid using the space if the signs display that someone has booked it. Bear in mind the recommended social distance, keep 2 meters away from other parties, remain with your group, and avoid contact with anyone else who may be there. Keep an eye on any small people and make sure they don’t venture into the Wild Garden without an adult, and please take your rubbish home and clean up after your dog.
If you would like to volunteer to help with the Mount, please get in touch on We have lots of socially distant volunteering efforts going on, and many hands make light work. The more the merrier!
Donating to the Mount
We've had a few people ask us lately how to make a donation to the Mount after they enjoyed spending time in our Field of Dreams. We've set up a JustGiving page to help us raise funds to update our garden equipment. As a charity, we rely on grants and donations to keep us going, so please click on the link below if you would like to donate. Thank you!
Please check our Facebook or Instagram pages for updates. Keep safe and stay well, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hall soon.
